A FIFA gaming tournament is currently underway at the North South University (NSU) campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka, organized by the NSU Computer & Engineering Club (NSUSCEC). The event, which sees participation from 180 teams of students, will run for three days and conclude on Saturday.

According to the organizers, all registration fees collected from participants will be directed towards providing aid to flood-affected communities in northern Bangladesh. The winners of the tournament will be awarded prize money by NSU authorities.

The tournament is being managed by NSUSCEC President Moinul Haque Nazim, Vice President Galib Ahsan, General Secretary Muhibul Hasan, Joint Secretary Ishraka Zahir, Treasurer Md. Abdullah Almun, Arafatul Hasan Saday, Nasib Talukder, Farhan Tanvir Protyay, and Md. Mehenuf Hossain, along with other club members.

Commenting on the initiative, Moinul Haque Nazim, a student from NSU’s Department of Computer Engineering and Science, stated, "With support from gaming brand Gigabyte, the tournament’s proceeds will be allocated to assist flood victims in northern Bangladesh, where aid has been insufficient. This gaming competition is aimed at raising funds to support them. We believe even this small effort will make a significant difference for those affected by the floods."

Senior club member Naimur Rahman added, "The tournament will span three days, and it has seen overwhelming participation from NSU students, exceeding our expectations."

Khaja Md. Anas Khan, Country Manager of Gigabyte Bangladesh, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "We are thrilled to support NSUSCEC's students in this humanitarian endeavor and are proud to contribute to their noble cause."
